In a short cycle process using impregnated decorative paper (80/180 g/m2), the influence of pressing parameters (temperature, time, pressure) on some particleboard surface properties (degree of hardening, resistance to steam, resistance to scratching), was researched. 3 layer particleboard (16 mm thick), so as the decorative paper were obtained from the industial production. Tested boards were pressed on a laboratory press. It was found that temperature and pressing time have influence on all the researched properties of surfaced particleboards. Pressing pressure has its influence only on resistance to scratching. The degree of hardening and resistance to steam respond to changes of pressing parameters in the same way. All the researched parameters influence the resistance to scratching. By the highest or lowest value of the pressing parameters the quality of surfaced particleboards wasn't good enough.
