Abstract
Delo obsega snovanje brezpilotnega letala z največjo vzletno maso 50 kg, z namenom da dosežemo čim večji dolet in čim daljši čas letenja. Na podlagi podanih zahtev, smo opredelili prioritete snovanja in določili konfiguracijo letala in njegovih sklopov. Izvedli smo analizo vpliva vitkosti krila na aerodinamične zmogljivosti letala, pri tem smo uporabili program za analizo profilov krila X-foil ter razvili namenski program v okolju MS Excel. Izračunali smo dimenzije, površine, mase in primerne konstrukcijske materiale letala. Rezultat je letalo z visokim drsnim količnikom. Izkaže se, da je vitkost krila v našem primeru navzgor omejena s trdnostjo in ne aerodinamiko.

Title:Aircraft performance optimization
Abstract:
This work represents the design of an Unmanned aerial vehicle whose takeoff mass does not exceed 50 kg, with intention to maximize range and time of flight. Based on initial characteristics, we set the design priorities and defined aircraft configuration. We analyzed the effect of wing aspect ratio on aerodynamical characteristics of the aircraft, using airfoil analysis program X-foil and developed a computational program in MS Excel. Dimensions, surface areas, masses and appropriate constructional materials were calculated. As a result, we designed an aircraft with high glide ration. It turned out, that the aspect ratio of the wing in our case is upward limited not by aerodynamics, but by structural strength.
