Abstract
Zajem in analiza meritev opleta gredi in vibracij ležajev sta v večji meri realizirana na podlagi pripadajočih standardov ISO 7919-5 in ISO 10816-5.

Title:Monitoring of the runout of a turbine shaft and vibrations of shaft bearings of a hydropower unit with an embedded system
Abstract:
The master thesis presents development and realization of a condition-based monitoring system for monitoring a runout of a turbine shaft and vibrations of shaft bearings of a hydropower unit. The system is based on an embedded computer which takes an advantage of the FPGA and Real-Time modules, and a personal computer with the associated measuring equipment which consists of a measuring card and the appropriate sensors. The acquisition and analysis of shaft runout and bearing vibration measurements are largely realized on the basis of the corresponding ISO 7919-5 and ISO 10816-5 standards. The analysis also includes the orbital analysis of the shaft runout and the spectral analysis of bearings vibration that exceeds the scope of the latter standard. For the purpose of development and testing of the system, a test bench was constructed to simulate the operation of the hydropower unit. The program code intended for analysis of measurements and storage of output data is accomplished within the project in Labview programming environment. Various communication mechanisms intended for communication between the software code algorithms are presented. The user interface is also described, in which the final analysis results and setting parameters are displayed. In order to confirm a proper functioning of the system, testing of the correct operation of the system at the test site is presented at the end of work using other measurement methods and program environments intended for the analysis of measurements.
