The purpose of this graduation thesis was to develop a collection, with the use of laser cut modern technology and sublime transfer print. The two technologies are used in almost every piece in the collection.
The theoretical part of the thesis presents the laser cut technology and sublime transfer print. It presents their evolution throughout history and their impact on the use in the fashion industry. It also presents an overview of each of the technologies’ functionality. Each technology also gives examples of fashion designers who use them and how they use them.
The practical part of the thesis presents women’s apparel collection. It presents the entire process from conception to design to the production of unique patterns and the final product line manufacturing. The collection is based on laser cut and digital print technologies.
