Undergraduate thesis tries to, as clearly as possible, present the main elements of military logistics of the late Republic and early Principate. The text focuses on the area between northern Adriatic and Danube river, hence it includes shorter recaps of all at the time relevant military actions found in written sources. »Archaeological« part of the thesis contains an overview of the remnants of military structures in the selected area and suggests their datations. It further attempts to interpret their function and logistical value.
