Abstract
Diplomsko delo obravnava primerjavo rednega in študentskega dela z vidika delodajalca v Sloveniji. Poskusila bom izvedeti zakaj delodajalci še vedno raje zaposlujejo študentsko delovno silo in kakšen strošek predstavljajo za delodajalca različne oblike zaposlitev. Analizirala bom redno zaposlenega delavca in študenta v isti organizaciji ter prikazala prednosti in slabosti zaposlitve študenta.

Title:A COMPARISON OF REGULAR AND STUDENT WORK FROM THE EMPLOYERS' STANDPOINT
Abstract:
In the diploma thesis, we compared regular and student employment in Slovenia. Namely, student employment is no longer a cheap option for the employers; meanwhile young people find it increasingly difficult to find first employment. In spite of this, numerous student works are still available as an introduction into regular employment; so many students decide to prolong their studies in order to be eligible for student referrals. In order to be able to work via student job centres, individuals need to be certified students and can then apply for various student jobs. Once they finish their studies, individuals can no longer apply for student jobs. However, many opt for the so-called fictitious enrolment and continue to apply for student jobs. The aim of the thesis is to depict student work from the employers’ standpoint. We aim at discovering why employers still prefer employing student workforce, as well as what cost different forms of employment bear for the employers. We have analysed regular and student employment within the same organization and presented the advantages and disadvantages of student work. Since 2015, several changes have been implemented in the area of student work. By introducing minimum wages and paid contributions for student work, the Government is trying to make the workforce market more accessible for young people. Nonetheless, many suggestions for the improvement of student work have not been realised yet. By using various reforms that are further presented in the thesis, the Government aims at helping young people find first employment.
