Abstract

Title:Analysis and design of a system for computer-assisted monitoring of cardiac patients
Abstract:
In this thesis, we analyse and design a support system for monitoring cardiac patients for consultation purposes. Currently, the whole process from capturing vital sings to writing down advice is done by hand and written on paper, which is obviously inefficient and non-permanent. The result of this thesis is a designed system that solves those problems and helps future developers to develop such a system with ease and precision. Through interviews with end users we determine current problems in the business process, define system functionalities that solve them and write them as use cases. We also suggest a database model.
