Abstract
Naloga je sestavljena iz teoretičnega in empiričnega dela. V prvem delu se skozi mladinsko književnost, natančneje otroško razumevanje otroške poezije, dotaknem razlik med ljudsko in avtorsko pesmijo, raziščem pomen slikanice in njeno glavno vsebino – ilustracijo. Temeljim na otroškem razumevanju v predbralnem obdobju in izhajam iz njegovih zmožnosti za razumevanje in spoznavanje pesnika Otona Župančiča. Otroci se v empiričnem delu skozi vsa kurikularna področja srečajo z njegovo poezijo in se preizkusijo kot ilustratorji njegove besede. Otrokom želim skozi diplomsko nalogo približati Župančičevo delo in hkrati odgovoriti na zastavljena raziskovalna vprašanja.

Title:Exploring poems of Oton Župančič in preschool education
Abstract:
The work consists of a theoretical and an empirical part. In the first part, through youth literature, more precisely the child's understanding of childhood poetry, I note the differences between folk and authorial poems, and I explore the meaning of the picture book and its main content - an illustration. I base my work on the children's understanding in the preliterate stage and on their ability to understand and get to know the poet Oton Župančič. In the empirical part through all the curricular areas children meet his poetry and try to illustrate his words. Throughout the thesis I want to teach the children to get closer to Župančič's work and at the same time to answer my research questions.
