Abstract
Konflikti so neizogiben del našega življenja.

Title:THE ANALYSIS OF CONFLICT MANAGEMENT AT THE MINISTRY OF THE INTERIOR
Abstract:
The theme of our thesis is the analysis of conflict management in the Ministry of the interior. Conflicts are inevitable in our everyday lives. Conflict can occur within a person, among two or more individuals or among groups of people. The traditional way of managing conflict was that conflicts are unwanted, negative, so therefore they must be avoided. But the newer approach tends to view conflict as an inevitable part of our lives so the emphasis is on the proper communication in conflicts and solving conflicts as a way of personal growth and progress. The reason for choosing this theme lies in previous work related experiences, where the conflict managing and solving techniques and communication were totally inappropriate. The analysis showed the employee’s reactions to conflicts and their ways of managing them. The purpose of this analysis is to enlighten the superiors on the importance of successful and efficient communication, downward wise and upward. With the help of the available literature and sources the thesis will define the meaning of conflict, show various types of conflict and the reasons behind them. It is discovered that solving conflicts effects in a positive way and ignoring conflicts effects negative on the organization, especially from the long term stand point the negative effects can be devastating for an organization. The focus will be on ways of managing with conflict and proper conflict communication. The findings will show that the responsibility of solving, managing and preventing conflicts lies on the shoulders of the superiors. If he can communicate properly in a conflict, the employees are satisfied, arising conflicts do not disrupt their work process, but they enhance it, because with the conflict management and solving everybody wins. But if the superior doesn’t have these communicating abilities, the conflicts tend to be unmanaged and ignored, which can lead to an outburst of conflict, dissatisfaction, lack of commitment and in the worst case the employees refuse to work in that kind of environment, so they leave.
