This thesis describes procedures of receiving social care benefits, such as right of child benefit, which is specificly described in Parental Protection and Family Benefits Act, right of social assistance cash and custodial benefits (both specificly described in Social Assistance Benefits Act) and the right of receiving state scholarship which procedure is described in Scholarship Act and in the Rulebook on granting state scholarships. This benefits include fields of child and adult care. This procedures are under the authority of social care center. In the beginning is described what the social care center is and I also described the social center Nova Gorica, which has jurisdiction in my area. Before the descriptions of procedures, the principles of General Administrative Procedure Act, which the social care center must follow. Following that, the rights and procedures I mentioned in the beginning, we encounter everyday are described. Special attention is given to describing the state scholarship benefit, which most of students encounter. The degree ends with some statistics of rights of child benefit, social assistance cash, custodial benefit and state scholarship for the last year and some statistics for current year.
