Abstract
V vsaki krajini so bili preučeni 4 transekti. Podatki o svetlobi in pritalni vegetaciji niso nakazovali pasu postopnega spreminjanja –ekotona.

Title:Changes of light conditions and understorey vegetation in beech forest edge area
Abstract:
Changes of light conditions and understory vegetation were studied on forest edge in two common beech associations Blechno-Fagetum and Hacquetio-Fagetum on a landscape scale in southern part of Kočevski rog and western part of Posavsko hribovje, Slovenia. There were 4 transects measured in each landscape. Each 80 m transect consisted of 6 plots ranging from grassland into forest interior. Hemispherical photographs were taken on each plot and vegetation inventory was performed on forest plots. Light proportions on plots varied from 0, 999 (grassland plot) to 0, 065 (forest interior plot) and light proportions of plots with same distance to forest edge were statistically different. There was a decrease of light proportions between grassland plots and first forest plot. There was no decrease observed in species richness or Shannon diversity among plots. Notable difference between landscapes was observed by dendrogram analysis. There was no significant correlation between Ellenberg indicator light values and measured light proportions neither the correlation between vegetation species richness and measured light proportions. There were no changes of light conditions or understory vegetation that would indicate the ecotone transition zone.
