Abstract

Title:Analysis of flow around a wing with panel method using triangular mesh
Abstract:
In this thesis we analysed flow around a wing with panel method using triangular mesh. Accuracy of the method was verified with analysis of flow around a sphere and around an elliptical wing. We analysed flow around a straight wing and compared the results to the elliptical wing. Triangular panels are successful at describing complex geometry, for instance large curvature, however this kind of mesh reduces the quality of Kutta condition, which is crucial for calculating the correct potential field.
