Abstract
Natisnjenemu senčilu je bil v zadnji fazi dodan še prilagojen lesen podstavek z LED žarnico, navojem in napajalnim električnim kablom s stikalom in vtičem.

Title:Creating a light shade with 3D printing
Abstract:
The aim of the diploma thesis was to create a functional prototype of a light shade for a table lamp using 3D printing. A number of different models were created with open source software Blender. By means of experimental printing, the limitations of certain problematic parts were tested. Based on the creation of several different models and test prints, the final model was adapted and optimized in a way that the surface of the model was smooth with no visible errors and printing with support material was not required. The shade was printed with a CubePro Duo desktop printer based on the technology of material extrusion using the thermoplastic filament. The technology itself uses low-cost materials and is mostly used for the production of conceptual and functional prototypes, and to a lesser extent for finished products. It is not suitable for complex objects requiring high precision. In the last phase, a custom-made wooden base with a LED light bulb, a light socket and a power cable with a switch was added to the printed light shade. Through the research in the diploma thesis, it was proven that a functional prototype of the light shade can be made as a finished product.
