Abstract
Gramofonske plošče ali vinilke spadajo pod eno najstarejših vrst analognega zapisovanja zvoka. Za osebno rabo so jih začeli množično uporabljati že v začetku 20. stoletja, ko so s tem nadomestili fonografske cilindre.

Title:Innovative packaging for vinyl records and CD's
Abstract:
Vinyl is one of the oldest types of analog recording audio. For personal use were put into mass production early in the 20th century, when they replaced the phonographic cylinders. However, the population of vinyl was greatly reduced when they developed a digital recording sound in 80s of the 20th century. And consequently as the interest for vinyl was very low, therefore also reduced the industry of vinyl. Despite the fact that there was demand for those very low, the vinyl retain their value, and in recent years, again broke through on the scene. The purpose of the diploma thesis was to invetstigate the existing packaging and market overview and as so to create innovative packaging for vinyl and CD's. With new form of cover, it would attract more customers and with its interesting folnding make the use of it more interesting. The teoretical part describes the definition of packaging, the materals we have used and all the steps that are necessary for the final look of the publisher. In the ecperimental part, however, there is an overview of the market of exsiting covers, that are offered to us on the online market. It also describes in detail the workfolw from sketchings prototypes, designing packaking to the production of the finished product. We also checked the costs of mass production at various providers in Slovenia and compared the prices to calculate what would be most worthwhile. In addition to the primary packaging, we also designed tranporting pacakging. The goal of the diploma thesis was to produce innovative packaging for gramophone records and compact discs, which, due to their interesting shape, would attract more attention of the customers.
