In the thesis we designed a solution for fixing an in-wheel electric motor to a brake drum. When designing the concepts temperature expansions were considered, which occur due to increased temperature after breaking, while providing torque transfer from electric motor to drum brake and vice versa. Design concepts were validated using a numercial thermo-mechancial analysis and analytical calculations. Electric motor is fixed on brake drum with 8 bolts that take over stresses due to thermal expansions. With three slotted spring pins a transfer of torque from the electric motor to the brake drum and vice versa is assured.
