Abstract

Title:
Impact of materials on air quality
Abstract:
In this diploma thesis we are focusing primarily on the effects of building materials on air quality and human health. Our apartments contain harmful substances that cannot be felt by our sense organs. Those substances poison us in slow but efficient manner. We are going to represent some of the most important chemical substances that are critical in terms of air quality and usually originate in building materials. Concentrations of such substances in indoor environment are limited. This is why we need to either choose materials with lower content of such substances or use appropriate ventilation systems. We are also going to represent the sick buildings syndrome and ways to deal with it.
