Geodetic networks are set up on hydroelectric power stations to observe possible movements of the object or to assure the stability of the object. The horizontal and vertical positions of the points in the network are put under observation. Measurements have to be carried out periodically, because that way we can counteract in time if a destabilization occurs. The network has to be very good geometrically, because that enables us to determine the positions of the points with higher precision. The other thing needed is a good and precise instrumentarium, which also helps us achieve higher precision. In my thesis I focused on the zero measurement of the geodetic network in HPS Brežice. There is a description of the network shape and the stabilization of the reference and control points. The description of the instrumentarium used and the methods of the network measurements can also be found. The procedure of getting the definitive coordinates out of the measurement results is shown. This includes the procedures of length reduction, preparation for the adjustment and the adjustment itself. The results are the definitive horizontal coordinates, the height and precision of the points in the network. The results are presented in tabular and graphic and evaluated. The geodetic network will be the basis for determining the geodetic date in the network and monitoring the stability of the object.
