My diploma thesis describes the automation of safety cabinets used in the pharmaceutical industry for work under controlled conditions. At the request of a large Slovenian pharmaceutical company, the device was manufactured by the company Iskra PIO, where I did student work. In my diploma thesis, I have presented the device and my work in this project.
In the first part of the thesis, I concentrate on the structure of the device and its hardware. I describe its components, the purpose and characteristics of the sensors and actuators that are used and the Siemens control system.
In the second part of the thesis, I describe the controller program and the display of the user interface. I explain the function block of switching between the isolator operating modes, the status function, and the function block alarm. I have presented the main screen, the P&I screen, alarm display and system display.
