Due to the openness of the curriculum, which is used in the Slovene public kindergartens, educators have the possibility to choose between different methods of work. Some of them are more suitable, some less.
Through three weeks long project we investigated the differences in planning and implementation of teaching process among the classic mode of teaching and coaching through the methods of the game. The project, in the context of the thesis, we have performed in the kindergarten Murenčki at an Elementary school Davorina Jenka Cerklje na Gorenjskem. In it, we included a group of nineteen children, aged 3 to 4 years. In addition to the children, we have also included kindergarten teachers of the group, in which we conducted the survey. In the first week we have planned activities in the second and third we have implemented them.
With the analysis, design and implementation of the activities, we determined that there are differences between the teaching by the method of the game and after the classical mode of teaching. Differences have appeared both in the planning as well as in the implementation of activities. In addition, there were demonstrated differences in the role of the children and educators in each method of teaching. On the basis of the responses of children, we found out that the method of the game has a better effect on the motivation for the implementation of activities than the method of demonstrations, explanations and conversation. The remaining results obtained will be presented through the thesis.
