Abstract
Diplomska naloga opisuje, katere novejše brezžične protokole z nizko porabo energije uporabljamo v različnih brezžičnih senzorskih omrežjih (angl. \textit{wireless senzor network}).

Title:
Irrigation system management using low-power wireless communication
Abstract:
The thesis describes where the latest protocols of low power wireless communication are used in a variety of WSN (wireless sensor network) networks. The use of wireless communications is described in a practical example for the management of irrigation systems. According to the information obtained from the research on different protocols describes in the thesis we can see, which way the trends are progressing in the development of wireless communications and which protocols can be used in a variety of given applications based on the characteristic of each protocol. For wireless video security we need to carefully consider how much data is needed for better transmission, then regardless of whether we make a compromise between the energy consumption and data streaming, we choose the most optimal protocol for wireless communication. In the thesis its described and automatic system for the control of irrigation systems. After it was conceived the idea and difficulty of it, has been necessary to commence with the planning system to determine which electrical components will be used for the given requirements and which programming language to be used, so that the practical part will be feasible in a given period of time. It is also important how the project could be improved according to the survey, which was carried out in this thesis on low consumable protocols. The end result is an efficient low power system consists of sensors that allow cheap and effective water management in large areas.
