The purpose of diploma thesis with title Packaging design for lunch box made of cardboard was to reasearch, study, plan, design and develop secondary food packaging made of cardboard that will allow multiple use and to be attractive and interesting to look at.
This diploma thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part consists of the definition and division of packaging, the presentation and usage of cardboard as a packaging material and printing methods for that material. It also describes the program EngView Package & Display Designer Suite, with the help of which was in combination with program Adobe Illustrator the final product made. Since we are talking about food packaging, we also mentioned legislation of Food Allergen Labeling. At the end of the theoretical part we researched what kind of similar produtcs are already on the market. The practical part includes investigatory methods, a presentation of materials, programs, ideas and workflow used for the final product. The finished product is a packaging consisting of a cardboard box, internal dividers and a handle which allows the transportation of the box. The design of the packaging required many adjustments and improvements, which are also described in practical part. We wanted to develop a product as efficient and ecological as possible and in at the same time we also needed to pay attention to appearance and design implementation to the box and the handle.
