Abstract
V teoretičnem delu sem opisala bistvene značilnosti čustvenega in socialnega razvoja predšolskega otroka, opredelila pojem motečega vedenja, predstavila nekatere klasifikacije čustveno-vedenjskih težav ter izpostavila ključne značilnosti motečega vedenja v predšolskem obdobju. Osrednji namen raziskave je ugotoviti, kako vzgojitelji ukrepajo ob motečem vedenju in kako vidijo sodelovanje s svetovalnimi delavci v primeru tovrstne problematike.

Title:Preschool teacher's reactions to children disruptive behaviour and their view of cooperation with preschool counsellor
Abstract:
This master’s thesis focuses on preschool teachers’ reactions when first perceive a disruptive behaviour of preschool children and their cooperation with counselling service in kindergarten. In theoretical part of the thesis I have described main characteristics of emotional and social development of preschool children, defined a term disruptive behaviour, presented some possible classifications of emotional and behavioural issues and highlighted main characteristics of disruptive behaviour in preschool time period. Further I have presented preventive and reactive strategies in dealing with disruptive behaviour and role of social pedagogy counsellor in helping a preschool child with social adaptation issues. Than I have presented a counsellor service in kindergarten and listed the main principles of itsoperation. At the end I have stopped and look at cooperation between preschool teachers and counsellors and I have described two main ways in which this cooperation happens and some main issues that can occur. In empirical part of the thesis I have conducted a quantitative research, among preschool teachers and teacher assistants employed in public kindergartens in Central Slovenia region, on their reactions to disruptive behaviour and how they perceive a cooperation with counsellor service. The main purpose was to find out how preschool teachers react when faced with disruptive behaviour in children and how they perceive their cooperation with counsellor services when confronted with this phenomenon. The results show that preschool teachers are very positive on cooperation with counsellors and that they often consult them when faced by disruptive behaviour in children. This master’s thesis will shed further light on importance of adequate reactions of preschool teachers to disruptive behaviour in preschool children. This research will also help to promote awareness among preschool teachers of extreme importance of equal cooperation between them and counsellors when dealing with disruptive behaviour of preschool children.
