Abstract
V tem diplomskem delu obravnavamo življenje Franceta Prešerna in njegova literarna dela v slikaniški obliki, ki smo jih v kronološkem zaporedju umestili med najpomembnejša obdobja njegovega življenja. S predstavitvijo izbranih ilustracij Prešernovih literarnih del smo dali poseben poudarek vlogi ilustratorjev, ki pomembno prispevajo k prepoznavnosti Franceta Prešerna in njegovih literarnih del med najmlajšo populacijo. Razvili smo metodologijo raziskave, pri kateri smo z anketnim preverjanjem znanja preko igre, kvantitativno ovrednotili poznavanje Franceta Prešerna pri otrocih v drugem starostnem obdobju (3 – 6 let). Na koncu smo ovrednotili še kakovost dejavnosti v vrtcu.

Title:France Prešeren in picture book for children
Abstract:
In present diploma thesis France Prešeren's life and his literary works in picture book form are considered, and chronologically placed in context of his most important life periods. By presenting selected illustrations of Prešeren's literary works, role of illustrators was emphasised and shown that illustrators importantly contribute to awareness of France Prešeren and his literary work among the youngest population. Research methodology was developed where, by means of poll questioning through game play, children's (aged 3 – 6 years) knowledge about France Prešeren was examined. Finally, quality of subsequent kindergarten activity was quantitatively evaluated.
