Abstract
Uvod: Elastične nogavice in kompresijske obveze so sredstva za zdravljenje številnih bolezenskih stanj. Poiskali smo ostale kompatibilne sestavne dele in jih povezali v prototip naprave. Ugotavljali smo natančnost in ponovljivost meritev opravljenih s prototipom naprave. Rezultati: Prikazani so rezultati treh različnih sklopov meritev, s katerimi smo ugotavljali kateri je najboljši način merjenja tlaka z našo napravo.

Title:Sub-bandage pressure measuring : research report
Abstract:
Introduction: Elastic stockings and compression bandages are used for the treatment of different medical conditions. To ensure the optimum conditions of the treatment, it is necessary to ensure the appropriate pressure. Appropriate pressure can be determined by devices for measuring the pressure under bandages. There are devices for measuring the sub-bandage pressure that operate on different principles. Purpose: The purpose of the study was to collect data on existing devices for measuring sub-bandage pressure and to produce a prototype device for measuring sub-bandage pressure to be suitable for use in educational and practical purposes. Methods: From the reviewed literature, we chose the most suitable operating principle of the prototype device. We decided to use a primary pneumatic and secondary pressure sensor. We looked for other compatible components and connected them into a prototype device. We determined the accuracy and repeatability of measurements carried out with the prototype device. Results: The results of three different sets of measurements are shown by which we determined what is the best way of measuring the pressure with our device. We determined at which pressures the measurements are reliable and what is the optimum volume of air that needs to be injected into the air bubble. Discussion and conclusion: The results show that the device is suitable for measuring the pressure of compression bandages that require higher pressures. For measurements where operating pressures are lower the results are less reliable. For a universal use of the device, further exploration would be needed.
