School libraries are an important factor in the transmission of knowledge and information, as well as providers of information literacy. We studied the information behavior of the 9th graders during a history class in the form of cross-curricular integration at Koseze Elementary School in Ljubljana. The purpose of the master's thesis is a true overview of information literacy in our 9th graders using the ICT. We used three methods for the purposes of researching the information literacy of the 9th graders: observation, questionnaire and interview. The sample included 37 9th graders. The aim of the research was to determine the deficiencies of the 9th graders, what should be emphasized in the program of information literacy in addition to determining the strong and weak points. The research has given us an insight into current knowledge of the 9th graders leaving elementary school. Results are useful for librarians and teachers.
