Abstract
V diplomskem delu obravnavamo kako učenci in starši dojemajo pomembnost vsebine modula tekstil in oblačenje, še posebej pa vidik razvijanja praktičnih veščin. Diplomsko delo začnemo z opredelitvijo pojma pouk. V njem na prvem mestu predstavljamo naloge in cilje pouka ter izpostavljamo metode za doseganje teh ciljev. Sledi pregled na eni strani učnih načrtov v javnem šolstvu skozi zgodovino od leta 1948 naprej, na drugi pa učnih načrtov nekaterih zasebnih šol, in vzporedna primerjava s sedanjim učnim načrtom v javnem šolstvu, s poudarkom na tistih delih, ki so kakorkoli povezani z modulom tekstil in oblačenje. Nadaljujemo z raziskavo dojemanja pomembnosti modula tekstil in oblačenje pri učencih in njihovih starših. Instrument raziskave sta bila dva anketna vprašalnika, namenjena 115 učencem petih razredov ter ločeno enakemu številu njihovih staršev. S pomočjo vprašalnikov smo ugotavljali, katere teoretične teme se jim zdijo zanimive in kolikšne pozornosti si v resnici želijo pri ročnih spretnostih. V sklepnem delu diplomskega dela na podlagi rezultatov raziskave ugotavljamo, da se tako učencem kot njihovim staršem modul tekstil in oblačenje sicer zdi pomemben, vendar menijo, da so teoretične vsebine zastavljene preveč podrobno in so posledično prezahtevne. Po drugi strani pa se izkaže, da si večina vprašanih na obeh straneh želi videti več uvajanja ročnih spretnosti.

Title:Role of textile topics in individual's quality of life as seen by pupils and parents
Abstract:
In thesis, we explore views of pupils and their parents regarding importance of textile topics, with special accent on the role that practical skill development plays in their minds. Theoretical base explores the various aspects behind teaching and learning process. We open by listing the aims and objectives of the process in general and outline the methods for achieving them. What follows is an overview of historical public school curriculums starting from 1948 on one hand, and specific private school curriculums on the other, cross comparing both with the current public school curriculum in parts that are in any way connected to textile topics. We continue by researching the views that pupils and their parents hold on importance of textile topics. The instrument of research were two surveys that we distributed among 115 pupils in fifth grade and among their parents, separately. Using this approach, we were trying to determine which theoretical topics they consider interesting and how they feel about the level of practical skill development that they currently receive. In summary, we gather the results of the analysis of the survey answers and establish that both pupils and their parents consider textile topics important. Their position, however, turns out to be much less favorable when it comes to detailedness of theoretical topics, which they deem too challenging. At the same time, the majority of respondents on both sides preferred if pupils received more practical skill development.
