Abstract
Učitelji imajo pomembno vlogo pri obujanju bogate zgodovine, zato smo v empiričnem delu s pomočjo spletnega anketnega vprašalnika raziskali njihove izkušnje z vrtnarjenjem in njihovo mnenje o šolskem vrtu. Anketni vprašalnik so izpolnili 203 učitelji.

Title:Primary teachers' experiences, aspects and their influence on including gardening in curriculum
Abstract:
Natural Science is a very specific school subject. It should allow learners to be as active as possible and encourage them to learn through independent research. School garden is encouraging physical activity, experiential and cooperative learning, interdisciplinary approach and is giving children a chance to learn how to be food self-sufficient. It can also have a big impact on healthier eating habits. School gardens were quite widespread in Slovenian schools from 19th century until the end for World War II. After World War II, many school gardens were abandoned, but today a lot of schools are trying to revive them and teachers play an important role in that. In empirical part we explored teachers' experiences with gardening and their opinion about school gardens. 203 teachers filled out online survey. The result showed, that a lot of teachers have experiences with gardening and in general they are very fond of school gardens. We also found out that teachers' positive opinion is based on a positive early experiences and that is why early experiences with gardening are very important for young learners to develop positive attitude towards gardening and teachers play a major role in that.
