Abstract
Teoretični del diplomskega dela opisuje pojem ornamenta, njegove vrste in oblike ter nekatere bolj prepoznavne ornamente v okviru časa in prostora. Omenjen je tudi ornament z območja Slovenije in njegovi motivi. Diplomsko delo se osredotoča na problematiko tabuiziranosti tematike okraševanja telesa. Za podiranje tabujev je potrebno znanje in razumevanje dejstev, zato diplomsko delo vsebuje kratek zgodovinski pregled okraševanja telesa z navedenimi razlogi in različnimi tehnikami okraševanja. Opisane so začasne in trajne ter neinvazivne in invazivne oblike dekoracij. Poudarek je na poslikavi telesa, tetoviranju, brazgotinjenju, nakitu in prebadanju ter kozmetiki. Praktični del opisuje raziskavo oziroma izvedeno učno uro z otroki iz Pionirskega doma Ljubljana, s katero sem želela dokazati, da je tudi takšno tematiko, ki velja za tabu, mogoče vpeljati v okvire osnovnošolskega izobraževanja. V tem delu so predstavljeni njihovi izdelki, učna priprava in analiza izdelkov.

Title:Body adornment
Abstract:
The theoretical part of the thesis describes the concept of ornament, its types and forms as well as some of the more recognizable ornaments in the context of time and place. Ornament from Slovenian region is also mentioned along with its most important motifs. The thesis focuses on the problem of tabooisation of body adornment. In order to break the taboos, it's important to have some knowledge and understanding of the facts. Thesis contains a brief historical overview of body adornment with reasons and different techniques of decoration. Temporary and permanent forms of decoration are described as well as the invasive and non-invasive forms. The focus is on body painting, tattooing, scarification, piercing, jewelery and cosmetics. Practical part of the thesis describes the lesson with the children of Pionirski dom Ljubljana. I wanted to prove that even a taboo theme can be applied and introduced to the education. In this section I presented their artwork, my lesson plan and analysis of the work.
