Speech as a asset of communication has an extremely important function in the life of an individual. Its importance in the children is even more important than in adults, because it is directly linked to the mind, and is therefore an essential element in its development and at the same time a reflection of its development in all areas. It is because of the important role of learning speech to children in early childhood. It is a fundamental task of the teacher, to develop the best possible child's language ability.
Many scientific branches study children’s speech.
Kindergarten teachers need to be very familiar with the process of speech development, if they want to appropriately incorporate a child into communication with its peers and adults. That is why in the theoretical part of my thesis I presented speech development, different speech theories and factors that affect speech and activities that a kindergarten teacher executes in kindergarten.
In the empirical segment of the thesis my questionnaire helped me establish that speech is essential for kindergarten teachers in kindergarten as they use different ways to stimulate speech (rhymes, make believe, fairytales, riddles....) and are essentially the best example to the children in their group with the speech they use.
