Abstract
Diplomsko delo z naslovom Predšolska bralna značka in izbira slikanice obsega teoretični in empirični del. V ospredju teoretičnega dela je kakovostna slikanica, ter pomen branja otroku v predšolskem obdobju. Opisane so značilnosti kakovostnega besedila, kakovostnih ilustracij in kakovostnih oblik slikanice, s primeri literarnih otroških del. Predstavljene so slovenske in tuje knjižne nagrade za kakovostne slikanice ter Priročnik za branje kakovostnih mladinskih del, s čimer si lahko pomagamo pri izbiri kakovostnih knjig. Cilj diplomske naloge je ugotoviti, zakaj starši v okviru predšolske bralne značke v vrtcu pogosto segajo po nekakovostnih slikanicah. V empiričnem delu sem izhajala iz anketnega vprašalnika, ki sem ga posredovala staršem štiriletnih otrok, ki so vključeni v vrtec. Z njim sem želela izvedeti kaj vpliva na takšno izbiro staršev. Ugotavljala sem, kako pomembno je staršem branje slikanic otroku, ali poznajo lastnosti kakovostnih slikanic in če poznajo knjižno oznako zlata hruška, ki označuje kakovostno slikanico.

Title:Pre-school reading badge and choice of picture book
Abstract:
The diploma titled Predšolska bralna značka in izbira slikanice contains theoretical and empirical part . At forefront of the theoretical part is the picture book quality, and the importance of reading to children in preschool age. They describe the characteristics of high-quality text, high quality illustrations and high-quality forms of picture books with examples of children's literary works. It also contains Slovenian and international book awards for the quality of the picture book and manual reading quality youth work, which can help in the selection of high-quality books. The aim of this diploma work is to find out why parents in the context of pre-school reading badges in kindergarten often choose the low-quality picture books. In the empirical part I derived from a questionnaire that I sent to parents of four-year children enrolled in kindergartens. With it I wanted to find out what affects such a choice of the parents. I observed how important it is for parents to read picture books to the child, or if they know the characteristics of quality picture books and if they know the book mark gold pear indicating the quality of a picture book.
