Abstract
V diplomski nalogi smo predstavili globalne navigacijske satelitske sisteme in podporne sisteme oziroma sisteme za izboljšanje natančnosti določitve položaja. Opisali smo osnovne principe delovanja, vplive na določanje položaja in omenili področja uporabe GNSS-sistemov. V drugem delu diplomske naloge so predstavljeni principi GNSS-navigacije na kopnem oziroma v cestnem in železniškem prometu. Predstavljenih je nekaj novejših GNSS-aplikacij za uporabo v prometu na kopnem. V cestnem prometu so to satelitska navigacija vozil, upravljanje z voznim parkom, satelitsko cestninjenje in eCall, pri železnicah je to lociranje in sledenje vlakovnih kompozicij. Narejen je tudi pregled stanja na področju GNSS-aplikacij v kopenskem prometu v svetu.

Title:GNSS navigation in land transport
Abstract:
In this thesis we present a global navigation satellite systems and their supporting systems which improve the accuracy of positioning. We describe the principles of operation, the error sources on position determination and use of the GNSS-systems. In the second part of the thesis we present the principles of GNSS-navigation on the land transportation, what include road and railway transport. We describe some of the newest GNSS-applications for transport on the land. In the road transport, there is satellite navigation in vehicles, fleet management, satellite tooling, eCall in the rail transport, there is locating and tracking the trains. We have also listed the current review of the situation on the field of GNSS-land transport applications on a global scale.
