Abstract
V času študija sem imela priložnost, da sem prakso opravljala na različnih šolah v Sloveniji. Mojo pozornost so pritegnile razlike, ki so se pojavljale med otroci na podeželju in otroci v mestu. Opazila sem, da otroci na podeželju mnogokrat, pri razlagi in diskusiji o določeni snovi, vlečejo vzporednice z delom in orodji v vsakdanjem življenju. Zanimalo me je, v kolikšni meri je otrokom v ruralnem okolju lažje pri razumevanju snovi, kot pa otrokom iz urbanega okolja. Prišla sem na idejo, da bi bilo potrebno pri določenih temah, učno snov predstaviti na konkretnih pripomočkih, ki se uporabljajo v vsakdanjem življenju. Osredotočila sem se na orodja, natančneje na vzvod. Za izbrano temo sem najprej pregledala in analizirala kako je umeščena v učni načrt ter kako je predstavljena v učbenikih. Pogledala sem si tudi, kako temo za vpeljavo koncepta mase uporabijo v tujem učbeniku. Razvila sem preprost eksperiment za poučevanje in samostojno učenje, ki sem ga tudi pilotsko testirala.

Title:Levers as tools in physics education
Abstract:
During my studies, I had the opportunity to teach at various schools in Slovenia. My attention was attracted by differences occurring between children from rural and urban areas. I have noticed that children from rural areas often, in explanation and discussion on a certain topic, make parallels to work and tools in everyday life. I was interested to what extent children in rural areas easier understand the topics compared to children in urban environment. I came up with the idea that certain topics should be presented on actual accessories used in everyday life. I focused on tools, more specifically on a lever. For the chosen topic, I firstly examined and analysed how it is integrated into the curriculum and how it is presented in textbooks. I also examined how the topic for introduction of the concept of mass is used in one American textbook. I developed a simple experiment for teaching and self-learning, which was also a subject of pilot-testing.
