Abstract
Sledi priprava eksperimentov. Razložen je prvi poskus, kjer je uporabljena vžigalna tuljava. Navedeni so uporabljeni elementi in laboratorijska oprema. Podani so rezultati obdelave preizkušanca s plazmo in komentarji rezultatov poskusa. Opisani so pripomočki, izdelava navitij in sestava transformatorja. Sledi še komentar rezultatov drugega poskusa in izboljšav – površina se hitreje očisti ob uporabi močnejšega vira in površina je bolj čista ob daljši izpostavljenosti plazmi.

Title:Improvement of the material surface by experiments with plasma
Abstract:
This master thesis is focused on plasma surface cleaning. Plasma removes upper layer of dirt from the surface, plasma source makes the right conditions for achieving plasma. That is followed by the history and use of plasma today. Next, the surface tension theory is shortly explained, which is important for good adhesion of new material to an existing one. For better understanding, used elements are described, such as ignition coil, capacitive panel and mosfet transistor. The principle of high voltage measuring is explained and its use is explaining when making the new transformer. That is followed by preparation for the experiments. Firstly, the experiment with the use of ignition coil is explained. All used elements are listed, including the lab equipment. The schematics of electric circuit is explained in details. Unknown characteristics of some elements are defined. Graphs of voltage are measured at the high voltage side of the ignition coil. Finally, the results of plasma surface cleaning are tested with a set of liquids with different surface tension. The second part of experimenting is focused on making a new transformer. The ignition coil was shown to be a weak link in the first experiment, so the new type of transformer was used in order to improve final results. The making of windings and assembling of transformer are explained. New discharge panel was made to improve the efficiency. All that is followed by comments of new results – the surface is cleaned faster if stronger plasma source cleaning device is used. The surface is cleaner if it is being exposed to plasma for longer period of time.
