Abstract

Title:Development of remote image and environmental data sensing system based on unmanned aircraft
Abstract:
This thesis presents the use of an unmanned airplane for the purpose of multi-spectral photography of the Earth's surface and acquiring data from sensor nodes on the ground. Data obtained in this manner enables accurate monitoring of agricultural crops and possible further agrotechincal or agrochemical actions, with intentions of increasing the quality and yield of crops. The autonomy of the electro-glider Multiplex Easystar was ensured through the use of an open-source autopilot ArduPilot. The airplane was fitted with a multi-spectral camera Tetracam ADC with the capability of taking photographs in the near-infrared spectrum, which is used to study biological activities. Autopilot data manipulation, triggering of the multi-spectral camera and reading of the sensor nodes on the ground was achieved through the sensor platform VESNA.
