Efficiency of the assets of the power grid infrastructure in this document starts with an introductory overview of physical assets management definitions, which are relevant to ensure safe, reliable and uninterrupted transmission of electricity. The introduction is followed by disclosure of requirements set out in PAS 55 and ISO 55000 series of standards, asset management roles (asset owner, asset manager and service provider) and two different asset management models presentation.
Separate chapter presents the assets management of the power grid infrastructure in ELES, including the organization of the company, asset management activities and asset management strategy and objectives.
The following benchmarking analysis of the power grid infrastructure assets provides the comparison of the size and structure of five European transmission system operators assets and benchmarking of the technical and economic key performance indicators of selected companies with Slovenian representative. This section provides the basis for the creation of the asset efficiency valuation model, which is with two concrete examples presented in details in the last chapter.
