Abstract
Izračuni in simulacije so bili izvedeni v Matlabu v povezavi s Simulinkom.

Title:Travelling wave fault locator
Abstract:
The subject of this thesis is algorithmic calculation of line fault location, using the travelling wave fault locators. The scope was to research the principle behind travelling wave fault locators, as well as to propose an algorithm for calculation of distance to the fault location, followed by a demonstration of the feasibility of the algorithm through simulations. All the calculations and simulations were executed with the program packages Matlab and Simulink. Three different methods were applied and tested. The application of the two-sided method D had the best results in terms of theoretically acceptable accuracy. The simulations have demonstrated the practical applicability of the method. One-sided methods A and E resulted in accuracy within the expected range, that is not suitable for practical applications.
