In the thesis I selected an area in art, which is called sculpture. Between the options of sculptural designing I chose relief design. The history of relief sculpturing is very variegated. That is why I have chosen the subject of the narrativity. I wanted to present the different ways of storytelling and also combine the history and present. This way I gained a wide selection, positions, theories and conclusions. Due to the connection of man and religion, was the chosen topic the right one. This also represents the threats of artistic expression, since it links the man with the center of their sense. Narration in relief is one of the most important tasks which this type of expression had in the past.
Focus on the presentation of the relief is based on the historical iconographic analysis. We used the same way of presentation on the main part, which speaks about the well known Slovenian sculptor Ivan Zajec. This opportunity has allowed us to preview hometown Krško and researched colorful heritage of the town. For successful lessen, we have chosen authentic learning. The reason, that such learning encourages innovation and critical thinking in pupils. We tackled the problem which relates to the situation, events from the environment and nature. We also tried to correctly answer the questions that we could find the answer and ourselves and children encouraged quality questions about the relief and also in general.
Making a relief in the educational process gives the children a wide range of options in implementation process, or choosing different materials, subjects, purpose, size, color of glaze and also a lot more. It also represents an excellent example, how we can in our daily environment, find different reliefs, natural or artistic, and connect them. This knowledge can be used in creative work in the visual art process. This is why my fist choice was this rich fairytale story as the main subject. I made a relief panels in the plaster and painted them.
