In the theoretical part, the importance and objectives of theatrical education in the educational system and some of the problems that arise in its implementation are described. The process of planning the theatre project My fairy tale is presented, where the conceptual and financial aspects of the project, as well as cooperation with different legal entities, which have contributed to the project’s realization are stressed.
In the practical part, at first the focus is on the theatre production as a cross-curricular product of art, Slovenian language and engineering and technology. Then the focus shifts to the actual theatre project, which was carried out with adolescents during a period of four months, from February to June 2015, in collaboration with teacher Petra Hribernik. The work was scheduled twice a week for two full hours. In the thesis, the most important concepts in relation to theatre, costume design, set design and puppetry are explained, followed by detailed plans and descriptions of youth employment in the project.
The thesis is concluded with the presentation of the participant’s work in costume design and an evaluation of the project.
