Zaščita električne opreme za uporabo v eksplozivno ogroženih prostorih po standardu SIST EN 60079 (IEC 60079)

Električna oprema v eksplozijsko ogroženih prostorih terja višji nivo zaščite glede na električno opremo, nameščeno v navadnih, nerizičnih območjih. Pristopov pri snovanju zaščite električne opreme v nevarnih območjih je več, kategorizirani pa so po t. i. tehnikah zaščite »Ex«. Cilji uporabe tehnik zaščite so preprečevanje iskrenja, vzdržljivost opreme med eksplozijo v prostoru ali omejevanje eksplozije znotraj opreme. Smernice izdelave in testiranja opreme narekuje standard SIST EN 60079 (IEC 60079), znotraj katerega so definirane tehnike zaščite električne opreme v nevarnih območjih in kategorizacija njihove uporabe po rizičnosti območja - conah. Namen pričujoče diplomske naloge je predstaviti tehnike zaščite, ugotoviti, katere so največkrat uporabljene, in povzeti pristop pri načrtovanju električnih inštalacij v eksplozijsko nevarnih območjih.

• Title: Protection of electrical equipment for use in hazardous areas based on SIST EN 60079 (IEC 60079)

Abstract

Electrical equipment in an explosive atmosphere requires a higher degree of protection compared to normal electrical equipment in non-hazardous areas. There are several approaches when designing electrical equipment for hazardous areas, and they are categorized by the so-called»Ex« protection techniques. The purpose of »Ex« equipment is the prevention of ignition, endurance of equipmentduring an outside explosion, or limitation of explosion inside equipment. Standard IEC 60079 defines technical requirements for »Ex« protection techniques and their installation in hazardous areas – zones. The objective of this thesis is to present »Ex« protection techniques for electrical equipment in an explosive atmosphere, to establish which ones are used most often, and to outline the approach in designing electrical installations in hazardous areas.
