Abstract
V diplomski nalogi je opisana problematika odstopanja moči vetrnih ter sončnih elektrarn od moči bremena. Za rešitev problema se v nalogi uporablja hranilnik električne energije. Izmed različnih tipov hranilnikov je uporabljena črpalna hidroelektrarna. V diplomski nalogi je predstavljen princip uporabe ČHE danes ter kakšen pomen bodo ti hranilniki energije imeli v prihodnosti. Izračunali smo, koliko vetrnih ter sončnih elektrarn bi potrebovali za oskrbo elektroenergetskega sistema osrednje Nemčije. Hkrati pa smo izračunali, koliko črpalnih hidroelektrarn bi potrebovali za balansiranje energije teh virov. Upoštevali smo podatek, koliko ČHE bi lahko postavili v Nemčiji, kar nas je omejilo pri močeh elektrarne. Na koncu naloge smo še izračunali stroške za gorivo elektrarn v nemškem elektroenergetskem sistemu, ki jih pri režimu delovanja s ČHE ni. Ugotovimo, koliko denarja bi lahko v Nemčiji z uporabo VE, SE in ČHE prihranili.

Title:Balancing of renewable energy sources by pumped-storage hydro power plants
Abstract:
In this diploma thesis, we are describing the issue of deviation of wind power from wind farms and solar power from the power load. In order to solve the problem in this diploma thesis we use electrical energy storage. Among the different types of storage tanks the pumped storage plant is used. In this written work we show the principle of using pumped storage today and the importance these storage tanks will have in the future. We have calculated how many wind farms and solar power plants would be needed to supply electricity system in Central Germany. In addition to that, the calculations have been made to find out how many pumped storage plants would be needed for balancing energy of these types of resources. The information about how many pumped storage plants could be built in Germany has been taken into consideration which has consequently limited the capacity of the power plant. In the final part of the thesis, we have calculated the cost of fuel for power plants in the German electricity power. However, when it comes to the operating mode of the pumped storage plant there are no fuel costs. In conclusion, we have determined how much money we would save by using wind farms, solar power plants as well as pumped storage plants.
