Abstract

Title:Comparison of the mechanisms for imbalance settlement of the unmeasured measuring points of electricity
Abstract:
The thesis entitled "Comparison of the mechanisms for imbalance settlement of the unmeasured measuring points of electricity" in the introductory part presents mechanism for imbalance settlement in the case of organized electricity markets of Slovenia, Croatia and Austria, and the characteristics thereof. The thesis then presents in detail the residual consumption in the case of organized electricity market in Slovenia, Croatia and Austria. For clearer review we made a test group of measuring points, for which we performed an evaluation of the residual consumption in these markets and compared them with each other. The last part of the thesis describes how based on the calculated load profiles each determined load profile reflects in each market through deviance and consequently with the costs it caused. In this thesis, we compared how the same test group determined the load profile for the example of the markets in Slovenia, Croatia and Austria, and we also compared it with the actual realization. We have obtained a deviation, that reflects how successful the mechanism is for determining the load profile in each market. In the case of our test group the mechanism that has reached the best performance is the one we use in Slovenia, because it has reached a minimum average deviation on an annual basis. For the same test group we calculated, based on the obtained deviation, the specific cost that originated due to these deviations. For each mechanism for imbalance settlement in the individual market, a comparison was made of all three load profiles. Every balance group's interest is to have as small specific costs as possible, which was also our evaluation criteria. The results of our test group showed, that the lowest specific costs were on the markets of Slovenia and Croatia with the Slovenian mechanism for determining the outlet. On the Austrian market the most successful load profile was obtained by the Austrian mechanism for imbalance settlement.
