Abstract
Diplomsko delo obravnava obnovo in nadgradnjo krmilja komunalne čistilne naprave Straža. V okviru posodobitve krmilja smo uporabili krmilnik družine SIMATIC S7-1200 proizvajalca Siemens. S posodobitvijo sistema je zagotovljen celovit nadzor nad delovanjem čistilne naprave Straža z možnostjo oddaljenega upravljanja s SIMATIC WinCC SCADA sistemom preko GPRS prenosa podatkov. Čeprav je posodobitev tehnologije čiščenja odpadne vode zajemala le sekundarno-biološko čiščenje, smo na osnovi analize učinka čiščenja in stroškov obratovanja zagotovili boljše okoljske in ekonomske rezultate.

Title:Renovation and upgrade of automatic steering of a sewage treatment plant
Abstract:
This thesis deals with the reconstruction and upgrading of the control of the Straža wastewater treatment plant. Straža was constructed in 1997 and is located between the villages Zalog and Hruševec on the left bank of the river Krka. Due to changes in legislation in the field of environmental protection and the outdated plant management system, the upgrade and modernization were launched in 2015. The wastewater treatment is roughly divided into primary and secondary cleaning assemblies. The primary physical cleaning process removes the larger particles inclusive sand and fats. The secondary wastewater treatment process uses the biological processes in the aeration tank, to remove bio-organic content from the remaining wastewater. In the reconstruction process, from the early 2015 to March 2016, the modernization and upgrade of the secondary treatment process, with the subsequent sedimentation-aeration tank, pumping station for the return of excess sludge and the sludge thickener, were introduced and implemented. The thesis presents the updated measurement and hardware equipment, used for wastewater treatment plant control and supervision. The SIMATIC S7-1200 controller family from Siemens was used as part of a control process upgrade. With the system modernization, the overall control of the wastewater treatment plant was achieved, providing the possibility of remote management, using SIMATIC WinCC SCADA system and GPRS data transmission. Although the modernization of wastewater treatment technologies covered only secondary biological treatment, the analysis of the wastewater treatment effects and reduced operation costs, delivered better environmental and economic outcomes.
