This diploma thesis describes the process of creating accordion video lessons for uploading on a video sharing website. The purpose of the video is teaching how to play an instrument and promotion in tourism.
The development of the World Wide Web has enabled new ways of learning in various areas. One of these areas is learning how to play an instrument. Contributing to this, in a great extent, are video sharing websites, where teachers and musicians can upload their original content and pass their knowledge on to others. For teachers, the advantage of such teaching is the free and relatively easy way of reaching a large group of viewers, where they can also access the content for free and learn at home.
The first part of the thesis presents the basic theory that familiarizes us with concepts and processes that are present in every video production. We learn what production is and what are the phases that lead to the final product. Each of these phases has its own unique steps that are also described. We learn about the possibilities of online learning and the video sharing website YouTube, for which the project of recording accordion lessons was designed. By comparing videos of different online teachers, we discover the characteristics of good videos and learn what the principles for success on YouTube are. In the second part, the thesis focuses on recording, where it presents all stages of production on examples from our project and offers guidance for recording in a home studio or in smaller productions.
