The thesis describes the development of a remote controlled thermostat for switching on/off a heating device and room temperature regulation. The theoretical part introduces some intelligent thermostats, currently available on the market, and their prices. Some attention is devoted to Internet of Things, which refers to a part of internet, intended for performing control via various devices, and has become an important player in the past few years. The thesis further describes the development process of a remote control of a thermostat and basic components that were used with emphasis on detailed description of AVR NET-IO Board, ATmega644 microcontroller, DS18B20 temperature sensor and ENC28J60 controller. The thesis concludes with all the results of performed simulations of product operation.
