Abstract
Magistrsko delo je nastalo v sodelovanju s podjetjem Iskratel d.o.o, in obravnava avtomatizacijo testiranja Iskratelovega produkta LA6112AX. Produkt LA6112AX je enota analognih naročniških vezij (angl. POTS subscriber unit), ki predstavlja ozkopasovno naročniško enoto v okviru večstoritvenega dostopovnega vozlišča (MSAN in Lumia). Mnemonik za enoto analognih naročniških vezij verzije K, je enota SAK. Magistrsko delo je razdeljeno v tri sklope. V prvem delu so opisane lastnosti enot SAK, namen uporabe, priključevanje v omrežje IP, ter upravljanje preko grafičnega vmesnika NEM. Navedene so tudi prometne ter procesne zmogljivosti različnih vrst enot SAK. V drugem delu magistrske naloge so predstavljeni testni postopki pri razvoju programske opreme. Predstavljena je metodologija ATLM, katere življenjski cikel predstavlja vodilo pri vpeljavi avtomatizacije v proces testiranja. V zaključnem delu naloge je opisana realizacija avtomatiziranega testiranja osnovnih funkcionalnosti enot SAK. Pri opisu postopka je navedena uporabljena testna oprema, ter testni plan z opisom posameznih testnih primerov. Ugotovitve in ocena procesa testiranja je podana, kot analiza primerjave realiziranih avtomatskih testov in ročnega testiranja. Navedene so tudi možne izboljšave realiziranih avtomatskih testov, ter uporaba teh pri vpeljavi avtomatizacije testiranja ostalih, enotam SAK sorodnih produktov.

Title:Test automation of analog subscriber unit
Abstract:
The following master´s thesis has been written with cooperation with company Iskratel d.o.o. Topic of the thesis is the implementation of automated testing of Iskratel product LA6112AX, which is a POTS blade that provides narrowband access capability for SI3000 MSAN and Lumia products. POTS blade, also named unit SAK, is an analog subscriber unit, which performs media and signaling conversion between the circuit (PSTN), and packet networks. Master´s thesis is divided into three sections. The first section describes characteristics and features of the unit SAK, the purpose of use, how it connects to IP network and its management over the graphical interface (NEM). Two of the most important characteristics, traffic and processing capabilities of different units of SAK, are also specified in this section. The second section describes testing process in software development, with Automated Testing Life-cycle Methodology (ATLM), as a guideline for automated software testing. The last section of the Master´s thesis describes implementation of automated testing, of SAK basic features. Entire process of automated testing in described with test plan, test procedures, used tools and equipment. Evaluation of automated testing process is given as a comparison between automated and previously done manual testing. Improvements and usage of automated tests for other, SAK related products, are given in the conclusion.
