Abstract
V magistrskem delu najprej predstavljam nekatere pomembne vidike učenja z razumevanjem: razumevanje matematične vsebine, ugotavljanje razumevanja, slika in definicija matematičnega pojma ter grafični organizator kot pripomoček za razumevanje matematičnih pojmov. Osredotočam se predvsem na teorijo Talla in Vinnerja o sliki matematičnih pojmov, strukturi in konsistentnosti slike ter o razkoraku med formalno definicijo pojma in sliko pojma oz. kognitivnimi procesi, s katerimi so pojmi razumljeni. Kot pomemben pripomoček pri gradnji razumevanja matematičnih pojmov opisujem orodje grafični organizator, delo z njim, posebej pri reševanju matematičnih problemov, in razloge, zakaj bi bilo primerno, da bi ga tudi v slovenskih šolah vpeljali v pouk matematike. V empiričnem delu magistrske naloge predstavljam pilotsko raziskavo, s katero sem ugotavljala, ali se med učenci, ki pri pouku uporabljajo grafični organizator, in tistimi, ki ga ne, pojavljajo razlike v razumevanju premega sorazmerja. Natančneje sem ugotavljala tudi, ali učenci, ki poznajo ta specifičen način dela, izkazujejo tudi ustreznejšo sliko pojma premega sorazmerja. Podrobneje sem analizirala še pet grafičnih organizatorjev na temo premega sorazmerja, ki sem jih po naključnem izboru pridobila od učencev.

Title:The role of graphic organisers in the formation of the concept image
Abstract:
In the master's thesis I outline some of the important aspects of learning with understanding: understanding a mathematical concept, assessing understanding, the image and the definition of mathematical concepts, graphic organiser as a tool for facilitating understanding mathematical concepts. In particular I focus on the theory of Tall an Vinner on concept image, its structure, consistency, and the discrepancy between the concept definition and the concept image, i.e. the cognitive processes used to understand them. In the thesis I also consider graphic organiser as a tool for improving understanding concepts, the usage of graphic organiser, including its usage in solving problems, and the reasons for appropriateness of its introduction into mathematics classes in Slovenia. In the empirical part of the master's thesis I present a pilot research establishing whether the use of graphic organiser in teaching improves pupils' understanding of direct proportionality. In particular I consider whether pupils that use graphing organiser exhibit a better concept image of direct proportionality with respect to those that do not use it. Furthermore I analysed five graphic organisers on the topic of direct proportionality from a random sample of pupils.
