Abstract
Diplomska naloga obravnava področje tehnike in tehnologije od gline do igrače. V teoretičnem delu so predstavljene razvojne značilnosti otrok, starih od štiri do šest let, pri katerih so se izvajale dejavnosti za raziskovalni del naloge. Predstavljena je glina s svojimi značilnostmi in načinom uporabe, teorija pa se dotika pa otroške igre in otrokovih igrač. Poglavje o tehniki in tehnologiji opisuje pomen tehnike za otroke, navedena pa so tudi navodila za zagotavljanje varnosti pri tehničnih dejavnostih. Predstavljeni so cilji tehnike in tehnologije za predšolsko obdobje. Kot vsa področja, se tudi tehnična med seboj povezujejo, zato je predstavljena povezava delovno-tehnične vzgoje z drugimi področji. Praktični del predstavlja dejavnosti, izvedene z aktivno udeležbo otrok. Predstavljene so hipoteze in raziskovalna vprašanja, cilji, raziskovalna metoda in opis skupine. Temu sledijo opisi dejavnosti z refleksijo in aktivnosti, ki so bile izvedene izven okvira vrtca. Vse dejavnosti so podprte s fotografijami, ki potrjujejo, da je bil dosežen raziskovalni namen – otroci so sami izdelali igračo iz naravnega materiala, ki so jo radi vnesli v svojo igro ter si z njo bogatili svoj vsakdan.

Title:Clay as toy in pre-school
Abstract:
The thesis discusses the science and technology field, which encompasses everything from clay to toys. The theoretical part researches the developmental characteristics of children between the ages of four and six, which were the subjects included in the activities conducted in the research part of the thesis. The thesis focuses on clay together with its properties and method of use; whereas, the theoretical part of the thesis sheds some light on children’s play and toys. The section on science and technology describes the importance of science for children, as well as emphasizes the importance of safety perspective during scientific activities. The objectives for science and technology during the pre-school period are also discussed. As all other fields, the fields of science are interconnected; therefore, the correlation between the practical work and science with other fields is shown. The practical part represents activities, which include active participation by children. The thesis also includes hypotheses, research questions, objectives, the research method, and description of the group. These are followed by descriptions of activities with reflection and activities, which were not carried in the pre-school. All activities were documented with picture material, which proves that the research purpose was achieved – children use natural materials to make their own toys, which they enjoy when playing and use to enrich their daily lives.
