Izbrane lastnosti sto let stare bukovine

V prispevku obravnavamo spremembe lesa zaradi staranja. V prispevku smo se osredotočili predvsem na biotske spremembe bukovine, ki so jih povzročile glive bele trohnobe in navadni trdoglavec. Rezultati mehanskih testov kažejo, da se mehanske lastnosti lesa bistveno poslabšajo, kar pa nima vpliva na kratkotrajen navzem vode v les. Naravna odpornost stare bukovine se še poslabša, zato je treba skrbeti za ustrezne pogoje, v katerih se nahaja les.

• Title: Selected properties of one hundred year old beech wood

Abstract

Changes of wood due to ageing are elucidated in this respective article. Beach wood degraded by white rot fungi and furniture beetle was examined. The results of the mechanical tests showed considerable decrease that did not influence on the short term water uptake. Natural durability of old beech wood even decreased what lead us to conclusion that special consideration should be given to the use condition.
