Abstract
Predmet gospodinjstvo osnovnošolcem ponuja kakovostno izobrazbo za reševanje problemov v različnih situacijah, s katerimi se lahko srečujejo v svojem življenju. V okviru mednarodne organizacije IFHE (International Federation for Home Economics) se strokovnjaki že vrsto let ukvarjajo s problematiko, kako gospodinjstvo popeljati iz okov njegovega izvora – opravljanja gospodinjskih opravil. Zavedajo se, da se z družbenim napredkom spreminjajo življenjske navade, s tem pa vloga posameznika v družbi. Kljub temu da predmet gospodinjstvo pokriva številna različna sodobna področja, tako znanstvena kot strokovna, je še moč zaslediti nekatera negativna stališča do predmeta. Temeljni namen raziskave je oceniti odnos osnovnošolskih učiteljev do poučevanja predmeta gospodinjstvo. Izvedena je bila empirična raziskava, v kateri smo preverjali stališča in prepričanja osnovnošolskih učiteljev o predmetu gospodinjstvo. V raziskavi je sodelovalo 229 učiteljev. Na podlagi empiričnih izsledkov ocenjujemo, da je odnos osnovnošolskih učiteljev do predmeta gospodinjstvo pozitiven. Boljši odnos do predmeta imajo učitelji, ki predmet poučujejo, in učitelji, ki predmet poučujejo in imajo za to ustrezno izobrazbo. Učitelji z različno dolgo delovno dobo se v odnosu do predmeta gospodinjstvo med seboj ne razlikujejo. Kritičnih področij v odnosu učiteljev do predmeta gospodinjstvo nismo zaznali. Ugotovili smo, da učitelji predmeta gospodinjstvo ne ocenjujejo kot enega od zahtevnih osnovnošolskih predmetov. Ne glede na težavnost ali zahtevnost so učitelji mnenja, da je predmet gospodinjstvo enakovreden ostalim predmetom iz predmetnika. Učitelji se strinjajo, da bi moral biti predmet gospodinjstvo vključen tudi v tretje vzgojno-izobraževalno obdobje. Prav tako so učitelji izrazili pozitivna stališča do kompetentnosti za poučevanje gospodinjstva pri učiteljih, ki gospodinjstvo poučujejo. Na tem področju se lahko opravijo dodatne raziskave, ki bi preučile še druge družbene skupine. Odnos do poučevanja predmeta gospodinjstvo bi lahko preučili tudi pri starših in učencih.

Title:Primary school teachers' attitude towards teaching home economics
Abstract:
School subject Home Economics provides quality knowledge of solutions to various problems of life for students in elementary school. The experts from IFHE (International Federation for Home Economics) are trying to develop Home Economics school subject from its ancient basics of kitchen tasks to modern challenges. With progress in society and changes in lifestyle, they are aware of individual's role changes in society. Even though the subject Home Economics includes many modern topics, both scientific and expert, there are still some general negative attitudes present. Main goal of the research is the evaluation of elementary school teachers attitude towards the school subject Home Economics. The empiric research analysed attitude from 229 teachers. Analyses confirmed that attitude of elementary school teachers towards Home Economics subject is positive. It also showed that teachers teaching the subject and teachers with specialized education in subject have better attitude than other teachers. Years of service do not affect the attitude. No critical subjects were noticed in attitude to school subject Home Economics. The subject was also not deemed hard by teachers, but their attitude nevertheless indicates that subject Home Economics is equal to all other elementary school subjects. There was agreement among teachers that subject should be included in third educational period. Teachers not teaching the subject Home Economics also provided positive feedback about teaching competence of their colleagues, teachers of Home Economics. Future research could include attitudes towards elementary school subject Home Economics among other social groups, especially parents and children.
