Abstract
Diplomska naloga zajema pregled ločilnih in filtrskih geosintetikov. Predstavljeni in opisani so materiali in njihove lastnosti, ter odvisnost lastnosti od izbire materiala. Opisane so osnovne funkcije geosintetikov s poudarkom na funkcijah ločevanja in filtriranja. Predstavljene so merodajne lastnosti za dimenzioniranje, ter zahteve izbranih standardov za uporabo geotekstilij v nizkih gradnjah. Poleg merodajnih lastnosti za dimenzioniranje so predstavljeni in opisani tudi možni primeri načrtovanja geotekstilij v različnih tipih konstrukcij, ter možne težave, ki se pojavijo pri načrtovanju, vgradnji ali uporabi geotekstilij.

Title:Geosynthetics for separation and filtration in civil engineering
Abstract:
This graduation thesis covers specifications, properties and functions of geosynthetic materials used for filtration and separation purposes. It also describes different requirements covered in standards and presents possible design solutions for different types of use. The work discusses in detail the importance on knowledge of materials when designing with geotextiles and presents basic information for the reader to understand how material properties and soil properties influence the decision on final design choice. Problems that may occur during installation, or during design phase, are also described.
